About the publisher
Cosmopolit Publishing was founded in 2025 for writers. We are wild, independent, and unapologetically free. We have a clear vision of what makes good writing and we don’t compromise. Every manuscript we publish is treated like our own child.
We exist to lift writers out of the bottom of the cultural food chain in Eastern Europe. Literary fiction is an artificial category created by the old dictatorships, but it still dictates how literature is viewed here.
A generation has grown up since the regime change, yet the landscape has barely shifted. Distribution networks take sixty percent of a book’s price, and publishers swallow the rest—while authors are expected to feel grateful for the crumbs and the chance to appear in print.

Manuscript
We accept manuscripts only between May 1 and August 1, sent digitally to our central editorial email address. For prose, submit 20 typed pages in 14-point Times New Roman, double-spaced. If you are submitting a novel, include a synopsis and the author’s biography.
Prose
In the case of prose, please provide 20 typed pages in Times New Roman 14 font, double-spaced, and in the case of fiction, a synopsis and a biography of the author. Prose we find worthy of publication is also translated into English and published.
Verse
For poetry, submit 12 poems in 14-point Times New Roman.
